Full-Time. £35 – £38K Basic, Bonus & Pension

Daylight work with Developers and Designers across the UK, supplying Architectural and Structural glazing packages for residential and commercial build projects. Working with Developers, Designers and Architects, we steer our clients through the maze of options that best suit their budget, specification and most importantly, their vision.  We source from multiple Aluminium, Timber and PVC fabricators and work with work in partnership with them and their manufacturers to maximise opportunities with clients and deliver a complete end-to-end service.

Job Detail:

You will be the onsite project lead on several commercial and residential builds where Daylight are the Glazing package partner. We are seeking a motivated, experienced strong communicator to work as a Projects Manager who will liaise within the group, with our partners, with architects, with surveyors, contractors and key stakeholders to facilitate the supply and install of architectural and structural glazing systems in London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as part of the Operations team to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.
  • Understanding the company’s short-term and long-term goals, planning of projects, scheduling, and coordinating of a portfolio of projects
  • Support the wider team to review, monitor and control strategic and detailed project delivery and install programming
  • Taking initiatives with surveyors and contractors to facilitate install works.
  • Manage project-allocated sub-contractors and maintain a successful and productive delivery approach
  • Assist in the production of key risk register, identifying targets to mitigate exposure to the business
  • Manage the execution of the design, manufacturing and install programmes and information release schedule
  • Attend key project meetings and action items identified within the minutes as necessary
  • Coordinating with architect/design team, including developer, quantity surveyor, planning, structuring engineering, building control, as well as local authorities.
  • To work alongside the Sales/Operations team to provide a quality service to clients and help to deliver projects within necessary deadlines and agreed profit margins.
  • Effectively work across multiple projects at the same time and prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met

The Person

  • You’ll need proven project experience working with main contractors or similar, preferably for an architectural or structural glazing firm.
  • Have been involved in large scale build projects, from £3m to £200m
  • Key communication skills necessary to maintain client relationships.
  • Key skills in project planning and time management and effective communication to manage site-based projects
  • Experience in running and recording effective meetings with a range of key stakeholders, internal and external
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Fully conversant with CDM and all relevant Health & Safety legislation, ESG regulations and previous experience of successful management / implementation on a major project.
  • In addition to general knowledge of common building and service trade, greater in-depth knowledge and expertise in the delivery of large glazing projects is highly desirable.
