Senior Sales Estimator, based in Harlow

 

Full-Time. £30- 35k Basic + Bonus & Pension

Daylight work with Developers and Architects across the UK, supplying Architectural and Structural glazing packages for residential and commercial build projects. Working with our clients, we steer them through the maze of options to find the one that best suit their budget, specification and most importantly, their vision.  We source from multiple Aluminium, Timber and PVC fabricators and work in partnership with them and their manufacturers to maximise opportunities with clients and deliver a complete end-to-end service.

Our business is growing quickly and this role is required to better manage our existing business volumes and manage the influx of new business as well. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the purpose of this role is to provide detailed sales estimates for our clients as well as providing customer support.

The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate confidently with customers by phone, email and in person. Strong people skills and a good technical knowledge of glazing systems are critical.

Quotations will mainly be created using WD Cloud, Window Cad and Window Designer software. Experience in the glazing industry as an estimator or similar role is required, and the ideal candidate will have worked with these software packages before. A strong focus on accuracy and good time-keeping are required to ensure customers receive their quotes within deadlines and in accordance with their specific project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quotations to customers promptly and accurately by analysing drawings, specifications and related documents, and ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Undertake the role of assigned estimator for key clients and inbound sales enquiries, serving as their main point of contact for sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the in-house CRM system ensuring that all quotes are assigned to estimators of appropriate skill levels and are priced on-time.
  • Ensure that all documents and systems are correctly updated as jobs progress.
  • Undergo training on new products & systems as needed.
  • Attend meetings and address day-to-day issues / recommend improvements.
  • Answer general enquires via e-mail and telephone.
  • Dealing with customer queries – trade (new & existing) and homeowners.

Key skills

  • Estimating – the ability to quickly interpret customer drawings and price the most appropriate glazing system. Estimating experience and working technical knowledge of glazing systems are essential.
  • Customer service – strong people skills are essential as this role requires the individual to build and maintain relationships with customers and communicate at all levels, including high-pressure situations.
  • Organisational skills – the role will require the individual to be organised and use initiative with the ability to prioritise workload. It is essential to be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines.
  • Communication skills – the ability to give & follow instructions in a calm, professional manner with consideration for others
  • Pricing software / IT skills – be proficient in the use of glazing industry-specific pricing software, ideally WD Cloud, Window Cad and Window Designer software, as well as standard office 365 software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and residing near Harlow

The Details

· Full-time or part-time hours. £30-35k a year, depending on experience and contracted hours.

· Harlow-based preferred, or able to commute to Harlow
