Sales Project Manager, based in Harlow

 

Full-Time. £32-£35k Basic, Bonus & Pension.

Daylight service the Design & Build sector across the UK with Bespoke Glazing Solutions for their build projects. Working with Developers, Designers, Architects and End Users, we steer our clients through the maze of options that best suit their budget, specification and most importantly, their vision.  We source from multiple Aluminium, Timber and PVC fabricators and work with work in partnership with them and their manufacturers to maximise our opportunities with clients and deliver a complete end-to-end service.

Job Detail:

Responsibility for delivering sales and margin performance across a growing ledger of Design & Build customers, driving new business and playing a leadership role to deliver Daylight’s stated objectives.

Strong sales skills coupled with commercial acumen and a solid understanding of the windows & doors

supply sector, you will need to be comfortable dealing with technical specification and ensure that you operate with a high level of accuracy and detail at all times.

You will also need to be able to plan forward, manage your time, influence decision making internally and externally with the supply base to deliver exceptional customer service.

Confident, able to problem solve and have the drive to outperform the competition, you will be numerate, financially aware and make decisions based on facts and agreed processes to deliver workable solutions.

This role will report directly to the Managing Director and to will need to work closely with them, the management team and with colleagues if you are to succeed.

Responsibilities for this role include:

Sales development, planning and delivery

  • Ensure that all inbound enquiries are dealt with promptly, and that customers receive quotations back within 24 hours.
  • All quotes are logged onto the CRM system and that follow-up on the dates agreed with customers are always executed on time
  • All take off and specification detail is accurate and signed off by the customer and accepted by the manufacturer.
  • Establishment and develop a customer ledger within the guidelines of pricing policies and meet company sales and margin objectives.
  • Develop a sales plan that includes:
  • Sales Growth in line with budget expectations
  • Gross Margin development to meet budget expectations
  • Customer pipeline development
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • To communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers so that all party’s are aware of activities and progress.
  • Driving improvements in sales and margin performance
  • Submit a written report each week detailing activity, performance and issues.

Operations

  • Maintain close communication with colleagues challenging each other on performance, best practices, ideas, initiatives and other matters to the common good
  • Contribute at Sales Planning and Development meetings
  • Deal with all customer enquiries, issues and complaints, escalating anything that you are unable to resolve on a given day.
  • Maintain effective notes and lead tracking on the CRM system and ensure that ALL enquiries and followed up.

 IT and systems

  • Ensure that processing of transactions is in accordance with advice given to ensure smooth transaction processing and maximise data usability.
  • Uses the tools available in Office 365 and CRM to: collaborate with colleagues across the business; gather and share market intelligence and to keep the team informed and up to date on developments in the market.

 Financial

  • Discuss and agree targets and margin expectations.
  • Implement strategies, processes and controls to meet cost and margin targets and ensure that agreed net profit is delivered.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure that the Health and Safety standards are maintained, evaluated and actively promoted in the course of normal business. Accountability for maintaining high H&S standards lies with the entire team.
  • Ensure the tools, equipment, plant and systems of work are safe and that individuals required to operate equipment are properly trained, are competent to do so and that training logs are signed off.
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement any actions required
