The Team

Finbarr Doyle Managing Director

With over 25 years of experience in supply chain, construction, and procurement, Finbarr Doyle is recognised for his strategic thinking and ability to turn challenges into opportunities. His career is defined by delivering creative solutions that help businesses thrive in the construction sector.

Beginning his career in publishing, Finbarr launched a games business in 2002, growing it to £7 million within four years by developing a global manufacturing and supply chain platform. Transitioning into the building materials sector, he held senior leadership roles in manufacturing and merchanting, eventually leading the £500 million IBC Buying Group, where he drove significant growth for independent builders’ merchants.

In 2020, Finbarr co-founded Daylight – providing specialist design, supply and technical project management to Architects and Developers for technically challenging glazing projects. He also co-founded Procurement for House Builders (P4HB), providing tailored procurement solutions for SME developers and contractors, and Genau Kitchens, delivering bespoke kitchen solutions.

Finbarr is passionate about collaboration, talent development, and challenging traditional approaches to improve outcomes. He thrives on mentoring the next generation and empowering businesses to unlock efficiencies, maximise value, and achieve exceptional results. His mission is to foster innovation, inclusivity, and excellence, leaving a lasting impact on the construction industry.

James Allen Director

James Allen brings over 15 years of comprehensive experience in sales and supply chain management, having worked in both the FMCG sector and the building materials industry. His deep expertise in supply chain management was further developed through his work in drylining distribution before moving into the IBC Buying Group for Builders Merchants, where they leveraged a £500 million buying power.

In early 2019, James founded AAS Distribution, recognising a gap in the market for a service-oriented procurement model that could meet the unique needs of developers. In 2020, James and Finbarr launched Daylight, a full turnkey glazing partner specialising in mid to high-end projects and P4HB, offering tailored take-off, scheduling, and supply procurement solutions for investors, developers, and main contractors. In 2024 they launched Genau Kitchens, which provides comprehensive design and turnkey kitchen solutions.

James is passionate about helping clients build to specification and to budget, and to the highest design standards. He understands the daily challenges faced by architects and developers, and emphasises collaboration, communication, transparency, and delivering real value on every project.
