Lyon Close is a new development by Crest Nicholson in Hove, East Sussex and consists of four apartment blocks.
Daylight London, a frontrunner in innovative glazing solutions, recently partnered with Crest Nicholson for their ambitious Lyon Close Development. This project showcased our commitment to delivering excellence through our 'D Philosophy' - Design, Dedication, Dependability, and Delivery.

The Daylight Approach
Design
Understanding the need for both functionality and visual appeal, we offered two options. The first was a high-specification, albeit costlier solution. The second, a more economical alternative, involved value engineering with a conventional profile and colour-matched using Deceuninck’s Quartz Grey 7039, replacing the original 7023. This solution necessitated a reduction in structural opening height but offered a range of colour choices.

Our team worked tirelessly with Crest Nicholson to align our solutions with their project goals. Regular project design reviews and collaborative discussions ensured our solutions were tailored to their specific needs.
Dependability
We successfully navigated complex design adjustments to ensure compliance with M4(3) and Document K regulations. Our proactive approach in addressing transom levels and handle heights demonstrated our adaptability and commitment to regulatory compliance.
Delivery
Despite unconventional pre-deposit material ordering, we ensured timely delivery. By placing an early order, we helped Crest Nicholson stay on schedule, demonstrating our flexibility and understanding of construction dynamics.
