Project Strawberry Hill
Once in a while a project comes along that really tests you as a business. Not just in terms of skills and technical possibilities, but also in terms of patience and perseverance and your ability to ultimately deliver when everything is going against you. This project tested Daylight on each of these fronts.
From sourcing glazing and fabrication solutions that only a few could execute on, to overseeing several design phases to do justice to the client’s wishes and the architects vision, only to find that a complete redesign was required of the entire structure, delaying the project by over 12 months! Then, when we were finally ready to play our part, the systems fabricator went into administration, causing Daylight huge delays and significant losses!
We had to make a decision: Do we cut our losses or do we bring the expanded Daylight expertise to make this project happen!
